Nataliya Petkova articulates her research around two main axes: first, the begetting and the study of micro territories, as well as the questioning of the notion of cultural identity, and the promotion of a dynamic infraculture; and finally, the process of translation - the transfer of sense from one medium to another, from one language to another -, and all the anomalies that spawn during the process. Her work aims to be a narrative on heterogeneity of knowledge that emerges on the crossing point between the perceptive experience of the individual, and the aleatory compositions begotten throughout the exploratory act. Organized around curiosity and experimentation, her process of research and creation stands as the necessity to trace and invent new territories, subvert the perceptive habit and imagine possible encounters between organic and non organic matters. Within the use of divers medium, following a process of transformation, modular geographies and identities appear.

Nataliya Petkova articule sa recherche autour de deux axes principaux: d’abord, l’engendrement et l’étude de micro territoires, ainsi que la mise en question de la notion d’identité culturelle et la promotion d’une infraculture dynamique; et ensuite, le processus de traduction — le transfert de sens de médium en médium, de langage en langage —, et toutes les anomalies qui s’y révèlent. Son travail se veut un récit sur l’hétérogénéité du savoir qui émerge au point de croisement entre l’expérience perceptive de l’individu et les compositions aléatoires, visuelles et sonores, engendrées dans l’acte exploratoire. Organisée autour de la curiosité et de l’expérimentation, son processus de recherche et de création fait preuve d’une nécessité de tracer et inventer de nouveaux territoires, subvertir l’habitude perceptive et imaginer des rencontres possibles entre l’organique et le non organique. Dans l’utilisation de diverses matières, se transformant tout au long d’un processus de transfert de sens, des géographies modulables apparaissent.
